Microsoft CRM was implemented at AfPP and customised for the requirements of a membership organisation by The CRM Business based in Sheffield and Manchester. They selected redware research limited to satisfy the complex billing and direct debit requirements and integration with Sage 50. The redware portion of the project required about ten days of consultancy and installation of our SYNC Connector for Microsoft CRM.
The CRM Business carried out the customisation of Microsoft CRM which includes uploading transactions from an e-commerce system and allowing customer service staff to sell books over the telephone. Our software runs eash day automatically copying sales orders from CRM as Sage invoices. AfPP are also using our SMS messaging module for CRM to send messages to expiring members encouraging them to renew their membership.
AfPP use direct debit to bill both their monthly membership fees and insurance ssubscriptions to their members. This involves a monthly process to create several thousand batch transactions in Sage with a transaction file created for the bank. A second process is run 21 days later to match up and mark transactions as paid in Sage. redware developed the computer program that performs this billing process once a month under the guidance of the accounts department.
